Emery has become quite the little talker these days. A lot of it is still gibberish, but she definitely has a handful of words that are clear to us. It's such a fun new stage to see her explore and identify things!
Emery's favorite word by far is "shoe." She says it all the time, wanting shoes on, pointing to other shoes, and even going up to a kid in her mother's day out class saying, "cute" to his shoes. I'm sure he didn't care a bit, but Emery's in love!
Other fun words we now hear daily:
hi, bye, go, yes, no, uh oh
mommy, daddy
socks---"shocks"
help---"hap", please---"peas", more
outside---"shide"
silly, goofy
boots, hat, coat, bow (can you tell she's an accessories girl?!?)
cute
pink, blue
eat, toast, banana---"nana"
belly, eyes
baby
ball, balloon
Emery's also improving on names of family members. She's got down some names like Pap, but Oma recently comes out as "oyio." When you break it down to O and Ma, she says, O and Mommy, but together always comes out "oyio." She's also got down Grammie---"gammie", but Grambo pretty much comes out "bo" at this point.
Emery also loves to sing "God is so good." Probably at least 50 times a day she starts off the words with "God..." or "He..." If you start another song, she'll most likely break out into "God..." to tell you politely she's ready for another! She loves to sing ABC's with daddy and most recently has learned "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" with movements for the star!
It's so much fun to hear her little words popping up each day, I'm sure before long we'll be redoing our list!
